Home Security
Recently, a home in the neighbourhood was robbed while the owners attended a family funeral. It is believed that the thieves knew the house would be empty because of notices about the funeral in the newspaper and on the funeral home website. Under such circumstances, it suggested that you ask someone to stay at your home or watch it for you during the time you are away. If you notice suspicious activity in the neighbourhood, please contact the police.
- For EMERGENCY dial 911
- For NON EMERGENCY call Police at 33 division 416- 808-3300.
Illegal Dumping
The BPHA has received complaints about neighbourhood residents taking their household garbage, construction debris and bottles and putting them in the garbage and recycling containers at the top of the ravine on Alamosa Drive. Please do not use these containers to dispose of household waste.
Traffic and Pedestrian Safety
There are few sidewalks in our neighbourhood so pedestrians and motorists must be especially vigilant. Pedestrians please walk on the left side, facing oncoming traffic and remain alert. Drivers please obey all speed limits and stop signs and watch out for pedestrians. If you drive your children to the bus stop at Appian School and park across the street, please get out of your car and walk your children across and discourage them from running across the road to you when they get off the bus.
